Hi,
Several asked me if I got any emails about hunting the bullfrogs, (they seem to be elusive of nets) to pass them on, so I will just do it here.
One man said to go to GI Joes and buy a special gig for catching them. Someone else mentioned using waders or a boat, a headlight, (night is best of course) and a trident type tip on the end of a spearlike object, get the eyeballs on sight, and go for it. (not the eyballs, PLEASE, but the back, or wherever) However the bullfrogs do make a lot of unpleasant noise, and although fun for some, not for the fainthearted.
I will pass on this tempting enterprise, and just stay around here, and try to get my neighbor to get rid of hers.

The Coopers female, although still rather noisy, did almost successfully snatch a Barn Swallow mid-flight. the swallow start to chase the hawk, and she immediately went on the attack, and almost succeeded. She is still pretty noisy, but I do think her skills are improving....The Bald Eagle family is moving in an ever growing area, and is seen less and less, over the past couple of days. Neighbors do see the juvie, and usually one adult every day, but sightings have decreased dramatically over the weekend, and well as hearing the vocalization of both parents and juvinile.

One thing I do know, we didn't see or hear much from the Osprey's this summer, not like in the past years. They used to be a constant factor, but now, just a passing fancy.........
