I've caught bullfrogs with a fly-rod.
Use a short section of line, and any large artificial
fly. Spot the bullfrog, and lower the fly down in
front of his face. With a long fly-rod, you can
easily be standing 10 feet away from the frog.
I've had no problem getting them to snap up the fly!

The nasty bit is un-hooking them. They usually get
hooked in the tongue! Ugh!
