Hi Tweets...seeing the posts about Brown Pelicans here in Ocean Shores and I
missed them! I was in Elma at the county fair. However, on the way to the
fair I drove through the Bowerman Basin and saw 250+ of the big birds on the
Hoquiam sewage lagoon at 12:40pm.

I stopped to watch for a while and was amazed to see that many in an area I
had not seen them use before. They were in constant motion, circling above
the pond, diving from about 10 ft and bathing....with the only sound being
the splashing.
