Hi Tweeters,

My family thinks my birding hobby is very weird for
the most part. So I was very surprised when my
brother asked last night if I was going to go see the
Blue-footed Booby. Apparently the media has picked up
on this, probably because of the weird name the bird
has. I told him no, it was one of the one day
wonders. I did relate Connie Sidles comment from her
hubby asking if she saw it's little blue feet. That
got a bit of a laugh.

Most of my friends and coworkers think birding is a
cool hobby and ask me bird questions all the time.

Do other people get such a mixed response to how we
spend our "free" time?
