Greetings All
Ryan Shaw and I birded the Potholes and Sun Lakes area today. The main
highlight was a Northern Waterthrush at Sun Lakes State Park, first heard
calling then observed very nicely. Also today, Semipalmated Sandpipers in
decent numbers (e.g. 15 at County Line Ponds), a Stilt Sandpiper at both
Lind Coulee and Perch Point, and good numbers of migrant passerines in
general. Red-breasted Nuthatches were noted at Corfu Woods and Sun Lakes SP.
Cheers and good birding,
Charlie Wright
