If I had the assignment of tracking down a lizard in Seattle, one place that would be a high priority would be The Arroyos, an interestingly quirky little neighborhood as I recall (haven't been there in decades) steeply downhill from the south end of 35th SW in West Seattle. I visited often long ago when my only Seattle-area cousins lived there. Doubtless it has changed, but in those days it featured steep and probably dangerously unstable sand cliffs festooned with lots of Scotch Broom and abundant lizards. I.e. a paradise for unsupervised young 'uns! Come to think of it I believe there is some semi-similar terrain in places along the south bluff of Magnolia.
