HI Dennis and Tweets,
I agree with Dennis that I am seeing fewer quail in Seattle, especially since they started "naturalizing"
the Montlake Fill and other city parks. Two areas where I see quail frequently are at the NE corner of
Center for Urban Horticulture and in Magnuson Park. The so-called corner is a fairly recently developed
wetland at the corner of 41st Ave NE and Suber. They have put in native plants and some wood chip path.
It still has a lot of blackberry, which explains the quail families. The best place in Magnuson is the cover
north of "kite hill". Again, lots of blackberry cover there.
All the best,
Tom Cotner
