Greetings All

Migration is definitely here.

Kat Morgan and I walked the Skagit Game Range from the "boat launch" to the
bay back to the pkg area near the headquarter buildings.

The Ash-throated Flycatcher, which did send me into a little dance of
celebration, was along the dike from the boat launch - across the slough atop a bush
- just after thngs open up so that you can see across the slough into the
grassy/marshy areas to your left (as your walking towards the bay).

The Northern Waterthrush, unbeknownst to us, had been found yesterday by Gail
and Steve Aslanian. It was about a quarter mile down the dike from the boat
launch.

At the same spot we had a very late, for the westside, Bullock's Oriole.

We also had a CB Chickadee, a bird I see rarely at the game range. Along with
the RB Nuts, the Mtn Bluebird at Vancouver Lake, etc.... makes me wonder if
we are in for an invasion of montane birds. We'll see, I guess.

Finally, had 5 Bank Swallows with about 750 Barns on wires along road from
Conway to the Game Range (not Wiley Road, but take the first left after crossing
river).

Cheers
