Forgot to mention in my last post that I also had a BLACK TURNSTONE at the
Stanwood STP on the stony shoreline there, both a strange site and pretty
early as well for a migrant, and saw (but did not hear) a plover, sp. at the
Thomle Rd ploughed field; perhaps just another Semi, but heavier-looking and
longer-billed, with full breast band, the facial details favorable but too
far off to make out whether black reached the gape. Who knows...
