Hopefully this not a duplicate but my first attempt to post this didn't seem
to work.

I'm behind on reading my Tweeters email so I'm not sure if anyone has seen
the Snowy Egret at Nisqually since Guy McWethy first reported it a week or
so ago. I walked around Nisqually yesterday from about 9:00 am until 1:00 pm
and saw the bird about 100 yards north of the McAllister Creek fishing
access spot. It was 20 yards off on the right hand side of the trail/road.

Otherwise it was pretty quiet bird-wise. There was an immature Coopers Hawk
flying high surrounded by a bunch of Swallows and a Northern Harrier
cruising low over the grass. The tide was extremely low which may have
accounted for the low numbers and variety of shorebirds. There were a
handful of Greater Yellowlegs, a few Western Sandpipers and Semi Palm
Plovers and a few other "mystery" peeps.

Still, a beautiful day to be out.
