Hi Tweeters,

This is belated as I have been away from computers for
three days (bummer....not). On Friday August 18, at
Westhaven State Park near Westport, in the little
quiet bay behind the jetty I saw a beautiful breeding
plumaged Red-throated Loon. Beautiful bird. It was
very quiet resting on the water, probably tired from a
long flight. I think this an early date for the
species.
