Tweets,

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with the statement:

"For the purposes of listing, all Bobwhite Quail seen in Washington should
be considered to be hatchery birds, in my opinion and too suspect to count
on a list."

If one looks at the Washington state breeding bird atlas for Northern
Bobwhite:
http://www.fish.washington.edu/naturemapping/wagap/public_html/birds/covi.gif

They will see that there are confirmed breeding records for the south sound
region of Pierce and Thurston counties, plus one for south Kitsap County. I
would agree that any sighting outside of this area likely would be suspect,
but Bobwhite have long been present and breeding confirmed in these areas,
which should cover all of the "countable rules" under ABA listing (however
any single person obviously can follow their own rules for their own list).

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents..
