Tweeters,

Sorry to say there are no White-tailed Ptarmigans in Paradise. At
least, none that we saw yesterday at Panorama Point. I remember Marv's
post from last month on Mt. Baker and one from Burroughs Mtn., but I
can't remember any other sightings this summer. Please remind me if I
missed yours.

Other than that, it was a lovely day on the mountain. A Prairie Falcon
flew over Alan and me, and when we found Mike Donahue and Alan Knue
already at the snowfield for an hour (no WTPT either) they recalled it
swooping by with enthusiasm. Alan Knue had a Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch,
other than that we just enjoyed the usual montane species.

Alan Lincoln and I walked up to Panorama Pt. and took the Skyline Trail
west where we discovered a brand spanking new composting toilet with a
view at 6800'. Your dollars at work.

No Ptarmigan.
