I just got a call from friends who have been adopted by a bird that,
from their description, may be a Blue-crowned Parakeet. It is banded
and flew to them this evening while they were eating dinner on their
deck in Shoreline. Can anyone tell me who to contact with the band
information to try to find the owner? I found the Bird Banding Lab in
Maryland using Google. Is the BBL the best resource? The band is
(vertical) WA, (horizontal) ANC, (vertical) 94, and (horizontal) 432 in
case that gives a helpful clue.
