Tweets,
Saturday morning I saw 6 warblers on Vantine Rd east and north of Tenino:
Wilson's (easily 20), Black-th Gray (easily 12), Yellowthroat, Yellow (2-3),
MacGillavray's (2), and Townsend's (1-3) -- seemingly on the early side. Plenty
of migrant activity, with Black-headed Grosbeak, Western Tanager, and Warbling
Vireo rounding out the mixed flocks. A female or immature Purple Martin soared
high overhead, and five woodpecker species were present. 9 Evening Grosbeaks
and a flock of crossbills (previously absent for months it seems) flew by the
mill pond on the eastern outskirts of Tenino. 56 species. Sorry for the late
post. Good birding!
