Hi Tweeters,

I searched for shorebirds around Gray's Harbor today
(8/28). Nothing too unusual, but a nice day despite
the intermittent fog. The best birds were 7 juvenile
RED KNOTS with the more expected stuff at Bottle Beach
(23 Marbled Godwits,~200 Western Sands, ~100
Black-bellied Plovers, 25 Semipalmated Plovers, and 15
Short-billed Dowitchers).

The entire Ocean Shores Peninsula was socked in with
thick fog. But, at Bill's Spit there was a flock of
~100 Western Sands with a few Leasts sprinkled in, 5
Black-bellied Plovers, 3 juvenile Sanderlings, and
Killdeer.

The only other shorebirds were a Wandering Tattler at
the Westport Groins and 5 Red-necked Phalaropes at the
Hoquiam STP.

Unfortunately I ran out of light to check for the
Foster Rd. kite.

Good birding,

Sam Terry
Seattle
