I lived for 15 years near Magnolia Manor Park here in Magnolia,
Seattle. Every morning I would hear Killdeers calling in the dark as
I went past - they would roost during the night out in the grassy
field which covers the reservoir.

Three years ago I moved to near Discovery Park here in Magnolia.
Every morning I would hear killdeers calling in the dark from where
they would roost during the night out on the grassy bluff above the
Parade Ground near the FAA Ball.

This year I have heard no killdeers.

Does anyone know of any decrease in Killdeer numbers this year, or
why they might not be roosting here at night any more ?
