A few unusual birds seen today Dec. 2, 2006 at the Ridgefield NWR driving
the loop were:
4 Cinnamon Teals at first pond on left with dead snags in it
1 White-breasted Nuthatch at the end of the trees on the south part of the
loop
1 Red-breasted Sapsucker just past gate where hunters go straight ahead and
loop turns south
1 Hairy Woodpecker in trees not often seen on this part of refuge
1 Swamp Sparrow in trees approx. 2/3 way through the trees in tall dead
grass.
