Sunday December 03, 2006:
CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, NORTHERN FLICKERS,
PURPLE FINCH, VARIED THRUSH, DOWNY and HAIRY WOODPECKERS, STELLER'S JAYS,
DARK-EYED JUNCOS, ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS and RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS are visiting
feeders along Centennary Drive in Cinnabar Valley in south Nanaimo.

Saturday December 02:
Twelve TRUMPETER SWANS were seen at Sunshine Beach in Lower Lantzville.

Friday December 01:
A BULLOCK'S ORIOLE is coming to feeders in the 1000 block of Center Crescent
just past the Little Qualicum River, north of Qualicum Beach.
A RED-TAILED HAWK was seen perched near Corfield Road in Parksville.

Thursday November 30:
Two VARIED THRUSH were visiting feeders along Victoria Road in Nanaimo.
A pair of ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS were visiting feeders along Andson Road in
near Sea Bay Park.

Wednesday November 29:
A flock of TRUMPETER SWANS spend the night on Cathers Lake in Nanaimo.
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS and GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS and a RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET
are visiting feeders in the 2000 block of Meredith Road in Nanaimo.
RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, PINE SISKINS, AMERICAN GOLDFINCH, DARK-EYED JUNCOS,
CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES, NORTHERN FLICKERS, STELLER'S JAYS and EUROPEAN
STARLINGS are at feeders along Victoria Road in Nanaimo.
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS, DARK-EYED JUNCOS, NORTHERN FLICKER, VARIED THRUSH and
several CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES are coming to feeders along the 2300
block of Marlborough Drive in the Lynburn area of Nanaimo.

Tuesday November 28:
A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER is a daily visitor to feeders and perches in a Camellia
Tree in the 400 block of West Crescent Road in Qualicum Beach.
Over thirty TRUMPETER SWANS were seen at Keel Cove at Neck Point Park in
Nanaimo.
One GREAT HORNED OWL and two ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS were seen in a yard in the
4600 block of Lost Lake Road in Nanaimo.
A COMMON YELLOWTHROAT was seen at feeders in the 7900 block of Northwind
Drive in upper Lantzville.
A SNOWY OWL was seen between Northfield Road and Meredith Road and between
Bowen Road and the Island Highway in Nanaimo.
Two TRUMPETER SWANS were seen on Long Lake in north Nanaimo.
Monday November 27:
A flock of TRUMPETER SWANS were spotted flying over Piper's Lagoon in
Nanaimo.
Four ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to feeders along Cormorant Crescent in
Nanoose Bay.
Six TRUMPETER SWANS were seen heading east, flying over Meridian Way, in
Parksville.
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are visiting feeders along Troy Ann Way and in the 7200
block of Arbour Crescent in Nanaimo.
Two ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to feeders in the 6900 block of
Lantzville.
Sunday November 26:
EVENING GROSBEAKS are coming to feeders along Brickyard Road in Nanaimo.

Friday November 24:
A BROWN PELICAN was seen flying over the Little Qualicum River Estuary with
a BALD EAGLE in pursuit.
A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was seen and photographed in the 2600 block of
Island Highway West in Qualicum Beach.
BEWICK'S WREN, NORTHERN FLICKERS, ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS, CHESTNUT-BACKED
CHICKADEES, DARK-EYED JUNCOS, SONG SPARROWS, FOX SPARROWS, DOWNY WOODPECKERS
and HOUSE FINCH were seen coming to feeders in the Sunshine Ridge area of
north Nanaimo.
A WESTERN GREBE was spotted offshore from Rocky Point in Nanaimo.
Over ten HOODED MERGANGERS were seen at McGregor Marsh in north Nanaimo.
A BARRED OWL was spotted along Sundown Drive in Nanaimo.

Thursday November 23:
A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER is visiting feeders along Embarcadeo Place in Nanaimo.
A BARRED OWL was seen in the 200 block of Dawkins Lane in Nanaimo.
A SNOWY OWL was spotted in the middle of Lost Lake Road heading towards
Rutherford Road innorth Nanaimo.
A SILVER PHEASANT was seen in the 5500 block of Bayshore Drive in Nanaimo.

Monday November 20:
A BROWN PELICAN was seen flying towards Mudge Island from Jack Point in
south Nanaimo.

Sunday November 19:
BLACK TURNSTONES, HARLEQUIN DUCKS, SPOTTED SANDPIPER and BLACK
OYSTERCATCHERS were seen at Neck Point Park in Nanaimo.
