I have seen SPOTTED TOWHEES hopping up and plucking fruit from the
dangling Snowberry clusters. Usually they last most of the winter at
our place here in the Columbia Gorge and don't seem to be touched
until after a hard freeze. I don't know if this makes them more
palatable or if it is just that the other fruit is gone by then.
