Similarly, I have a few Oregon grape seedlings coming up along our back
fence where birds obviously sat and relieved themselves after feasting on my
neighbors Oregon grape bushes. Nice to have volunteers come up like that,
as long as they grow where they are "wanted".

Some seeds of fruiting bushes even need to be stratified by going through a
birds digestive system before they will sprout.
