Sunday 12-3-96, 11:04PM. Hi. This is Russ Kopendreir (?) 360-636-3245. This
afternoon I saw a female WILLIAMSON'S SAPSUCKER in the Columbia River Gorge.
It was in the Spring Creek Hatchery. You turn to this at milepost 61.5 off
state route 14. When you go in, you go to the end of the road where it is
gated just before the Hatchery itself. The bird was in a pine right there by
a little parking lot at the end of the road.

Thursday 12-7-06, 11:49AM.This is Rachel Lawson, Birdbox System
Administrator, with an update on the EMPEROR GOOSE south of Snohomish. This
bird was still present as of yesterday afternoon Dec. 6th. The bird has been
seen in a field on the west side of highway 9 just south of the intersection
with Marsh Road, There are usually a bunch of swans in the field but the
goose associates with a small group of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE. If you
don't see the bird right away, it may be hidden in a dip in the field in the
grass so don't give up right away.
