Greetings Tweeters,

Two new yard-bird observations for me today...an adult
male Evening Grosbeak and three Golden-crowned
Kinglets. The grosbeak was at the feeder in the front
yard and the kinglets foraged beneath a large Douglas
Fir in the back yard. This is the first time I have
seen, at least up close, one flash the crest - what a
beautiful orange color it becomes when raised,
appeared very irridescent to me.
