I checked the pond at the end of Goodrich Rd. today. Waterfowl numbers
were down a little bit from last week, and shorebird numbers were down
alot. The pair of Bald Eagles were seen along the river, and a pair of
kestrels were hunting the fields.
No swans on the pond, but 5 swans did fly over.
There were 4 Snow Geese seen across the field.
Black Bellied Plovers - 17, way down from last week
Dunlin 150+
Long-billed Dowitcher - 1
Least Sandpiper - 2
Ruddy Duck - 1
Mew Gull - 1 (juvenille)
Quite a few Golden-crowned Sparrows along the road in the brambles.
Fox Sparrow - 3
