Hello Birders,

I spent about an hour and a half this afternoon (~12:30-2) at
Point-no-Point looking for the Long-billed Murrelet. As Vic Nelson noted
in his relayed message, there are a lot of Marbled Murrelets up there-
including one that gave me pause, but it was hanging with a normal basic
plumaged Marbled and I'm fairly certain it was just a Marbled retaining
quite a bit of it's summer garb. It still had some dark baring and
mottling on its face, throat, breast, and flanks but was more black and
white with hints of a semi collar, white scapulars, and other basic
features. Alas no Long-billed Murrelet. Oh well, the birds were still
grand- loads of grebes, loons, alcids, scoters and other sea and bay
ducks. An Eared Grebe close to the lighthouse was probably the best bird.

Good luck to those who brave the wind, chill and rain! I hope the bird
is seen again.

Good birding, Alan
