After Ken Knittle passed on the information that Tom Herzig had
found a ROSS' GOOSE in North Bonneville, on Saturday Dec. 9, I had to
make a run after the bird. When I went up there on Sunday the bird was
easily found by taking the exit off of Highway 14 and turning right at
the Stop sign. The Ross' was in a flock of Canada Geese about two blocks
down the road. This small town has several grassy fields that you may
need to check but it easy to view the ball fields and wide open areas
from the roads. This is the first record of a Ross' Goose for Skamania
County.
