Tweets,
I realize that the weather has been odd, but we have not been prepared
for the unusual activity at the yard feeder.
Since last week's storm and snow and cold and then thaw, I've had some
new and unusual visitors.
Right after the snow there was a female ring necked pheasant, followed
the day after by the male.
Then after a day a Northern Bobwhite showed up. Have only seen the
female pheasant in the last few days, not the others.
Not incredibly unusual, but interesting have been the hairy woodpecker
and red-breasted sapsucker. Interesting because I don't have suet out
this year.
And today - I now have my first December Evening Grosbeak.
It would be fun to put those down on somebody's Christmas Bird Count list!

I think animal testing is a terrible idea;
they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
