Subject: [Tweeters] Marymoor Park Report (Redmond, King Co., WA) 2006-12-13

Tweets - we had strong wind gusts, sun, a touch of drizzle, blue sky,
driving rain, lots of clouds moving through, and moments of calm. And that
was just between 8:00 and 8:05. The rest of the morning was more of the
same blustery weather, though the skies cleared at about 11:30, just about
the time I left to prepare for the CBC. Matt and the others saw about 10
more species in that bit of better weather, bringing the species count up to
pathetic.

Highlights:

Around 1000 MEW GULLS with a handful of Ring-billed Gulls and a
Glaucous-winged Gull or two on the grass fields early.

Matt had a MERLIN over the Rowing Club fields.

Matt had a COMMON RAVEN over the East Meadow early.

That's about it. One of the least productive days at Marymoor ever, but
that's what heavy winds will do for you.

For the day, 46 species.
