Tweets,
spent the day chasing the wayward visitors to the NW
corner of our state, with some success.

Made it thru the dismal traffic, high winds, and
pouring rain to look for the Emperor Goose in
Snohomish by about 9:30 AM. After cruising every road
around the site, we never even saw any geese of any
kind! Unless you count the very nice set of Canada
Goose and Mallards on Marsh road, that I scanned twice
before realizing they were decoys! Heh Heh!

We then blasted up to Blaine to search for the King
Eidar, which we finally located (with some help,
thanks!) at about 1:00, off the south side of the
marina. Nice looks were had, thru a shakey scoop
being tossed around by the high winds.

We then headed back south ,I had to pick up my
daughter at day-care by 4:30. We were in Renton about
20 minutes early, so we swung over the the mouth of
the Cedar River on the off-chance of a quick look for
the reported Palm Warbler. And it WORKED!! I found
the Palm Warbler about 100 feet south of the north end
of the park, in the shrubs and flying around the
chain-link fence.

A couple of nice visitors were observed, the weather
was not TOO dismal while we were viewing (most of the
rain was while we were driving).
It was a good day ;)
