Hi Tweets -
I spent the morning [8:30-12:00] down at the point at Discovery Park [Seattle, King Co] hoping for storm birds.
As I arrived, I was greeted by my only storm bird of the day -- a 1st winter Black-legged Kittiwake!
It was feeding close in to the point, and gave me good views of its black primaries and carpal bar, along with its black collar. Yay!
The kittiwake was only around until about 9:00, when it headed further out into the sound.

There was a good deal of bird activity all morning, but nothing else surprising popped up -- Lots of downed trees at Discovery, not surprisingly, though the path from the south meadow down to the beach only required a couple improvisations....

Good post storm birding --
