Hello,

Today when I was at the Audubon store on 35th Ave NE they told me
that someone had seen two male mandarin ducks at the pond across from
Meadowbrook community center (around 35th and 105th). After I heard
about the ducks, my brother and I convinced my dad to take us down
there. As soon as we got there we spotted the two ducks next to the
small island on the east side of the pond. I think that they are
probably escaped ones, but one got out of the water and it definately
wasn't banded and they seemed a little shy of people. We saw the
birds at about 4:15 and watched them until we couldn't really see
them any more. Thank you to the Audobon store for telling us about
the ducks (and to the person who anoymously bought us the bird
