our power just came on about 10 minutes ago so now i can post this. today i
to saw the mandarin ducks at meadowbrook. Sam Conard and his family
originally found them this morning. they are really beautiful birds!

also today at dukes restaurant on lake union i might have seen a red faced
cormorant. i viewed the bird for about 4 seconds out the window, then i ran
outside to it and try as i might i couldn't re-find it. it displayed the red
lores and pale bill that the ones i saw in Alaska had. I cant come to any
conclusions but if someone refound this bird that would be neat.
