I just wanted to add some directions to those previously posted by Ian that might be helpful to those of you heading to see the Black-headed Gull.
After exiting the ferry get into the left lane as you'll be making a fairly quick left onto Winslow Way. After taking the right at the stop sign onto Madison, take a left onto Wyatt Way which will then become Bucklin Hill at a 90 degree left turn. Follow ahead to a blinking yellow and forego the right hand curve by continuing straight ahead onto NE Blakely Ave. This might seem counterintuitive because you will be heading east-south-east. You'll come to a flat area and then head down a hill and come to a right hand turn where you'll see signs for Ft. Ward, but no street sign for Country Club Road. Make your right hand turn there and in a 1/4 mile a right hand turn on Ft Ward Hill. Stay straight ahead over the hill and down to the water. Turn left at the end of the road and park on your right, you're there.
