Hi Tweets -
Hugh reported an Am.Black Duck on the ELWAS CBC last Saturday. Though
I didn't see it, here's the info I received from Grace & Ollie
Oliver. They saw the duck in Redmond [King Co]. After their report, I
know of about 4 tries by others to relocate the Am.Black Duck. No
luck yet, but if more people give it a try , it may still be out
there.

[For reference, they saw the bird on Dec 16 [Sat] at about 9:30AM]

Today we found an American Black Duck. It was with a very large
flock of waterfowl. We were running one of the ELWAS CBC routes and
it was our first stop.

The location was a short distance from Avondale Rd. and Union Hill
Rd., at this intersection, turn east onto Union Hill Rd. Go to the
first 2 story business complex on the left. Motorola has a sign in
the first building you come to. There is a veterinary, in an old
house, on the left and just prior to the building complex.

We saw the huge flock of waterfowl at the first back corner of
parking lot; looking back towards Avondale Rd. That would be the
northwest corner of the parking lot.

If you reach a gravel cement business, you've got too far east.

The American Black Duck was very active. Speculum was well seen.
The duck stands out since it is so much darker than any of the other
ducks or geese mixed in the flock.

Best,
