I am new to all this - but I wanted to report that we
had 3 Evening grosbeaks (all male, I think) at our
feeder and in the rosebushes on the Tuesday of the big
snow 4 weeks ago - Tuesday. I had never seen them
before and they have not returned. Also, I had a
varied thrush swoop in to check out the dirt in the
15" or so next to the house. He's not been back
either. Where are they usually?
We are in Snohomish county between Monroe and Woodinville.
