Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was Made Thursday December 28. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On December 25 a gray phased GYRFALCON was seen in Tygh Valley. The
Corvallis Airport GYRFALCON continues to be seen along with two PRAIRIE
FALCONS.

Nine BROWN PELICANS were seen December 26 at Brookings. Recently two
BURROWING OWLS and a MOCKINGBIRD were near Cape Blanco. On December 25 two
REDPOLLS were near Charleston on Coos Bay.

On December 27 a good sized flock of EVENING GROSBEAKS and PINE SISKINS were
coming to a feeder in Warren, near St. Helens. That day two COMMON
GOLDENEYES were in Scappoose Bottom. Two PINE GROSBEAKS were seen December
22 at Mt. Tabor Park in Portland. Good numbers of TOWNSEND?S WARBLERS are
also in the park. On December 26 five EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES were in
Dallas, east of Salem. An EMPEROR GOOSE is now in the Baskett Slough NWR
area.

There are now two CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS in the sparrow flocks at Minto-Brown
Park in Salem. The Creswell RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER continues to be seen. On
December 27 an ACORN WOODPECKER was in Cottage Grove. A PRAIRIE FALCON and a
GREEN HERON were near there December 26. Two EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES on the
December 23 Illinois Valley Christmas Count was a first county record.
