Another new species for the yard today, a (male) Townsend's warbler, off South Bay Road in Olympia. Also, a orange-crowned warbler has been coming to the suet feeders almost daily since first seen on Dec 24 (except Dec 25). A male northern flicker started using a nest box (that has been up for almost a year) daily since Dec 25. The flicker is in the box each morning, coming out around sunrise. So far no signs of female interest in the box.
