A correction. The first Black-headed Gull for the state was in 1987. Nancy and I had close looks at a moulting adult at Green Lake on October 5, 1987, which record was published in American Birds. What was likely the same bird was seen about one month prior by an expert birder from New Jersey at Friday Harbor, and what was likely the same bird was seen again in December of that year on Whidbey Island.

Hello Tweetees,

There are thirteen records sighted and confirmed in Washington,according by " WASHINGTON BIRDERS " . First record listed from Alki Point,Seattle on 27 October 1994
A Black-headed Gull was sighted from Point No Point,on 8 -17 March 1998 what was the thirteen record.So this Gull now makes it the 14th record in Washington.All birds was sighted in Puget Sound .We photographed the Adult Black -headed Gull from the Everett Sewage Ponds on 2 October 1997.At the same time we also had a Adult Franklin Gull.
