Hello Tweeters,

Two Trumpeter Swans were on the Big Beaver Pond in the Anacortes Community
Forest Lands (Little Cranberry Lake tract) on December 29 and 30. The swans
were near the west shore (Trail 10), seen from Trail 123. First swans we
have ever seen in the forest! Closest access from 31st Street or A Avenue
trailheads.

Other highlights in our personal mini CBC: three Pine Siskins along B Avenue
near 26th Street, first we have seen in several months. And both male and
female Anna's Hummingbirds among *15* species at the backyard wildlife
habitat of our friends Phyllis and Ivar Dolph, also close to the forest
lands.

Good birding,

Kristi Hein & Casey Bazewick
