Hi Tweeters,

The blackbird and hummer stories reminded me of
something I saw that still makes me smile and laugh
inside. Several years before I became hooked on
birdwatching I went camping near Lake Chelan. One of
the small squirrels started alarm calling then started
frantically racing from tree to tree with what I first
thought was the biggest bee I have ever seen hot on
its heels. Of course the bee was in fact a
hummingbird. I don't think that squirrel was ever the
same again after that.
