Subject: [Tweeters] Peak fall migration month?

Val,

This is a tough one because it varies so much. Not only does the weather seem to effect the movements of many species, but differing groups tend to vary as well. It's been my experience the the duck movement is greater in November, and the shorebirds "tend" to be more in September. Bluebirds. Pipets and some Warblers also seem to move more in September. It feels to me like the fall migration is more spread out than the spring event.

I'm curious to hear from the more experienced among us.

I attended a meeting today where somebody stated that October was the peak fall migration month in this area. Knowing the number of skilled and long-time birders in this area, I was curious to know if everyone would agree with this statement. Thanks for your input.
