Hello all,
I'm heading to the south island of New Zealand in a couple of weeks. Can
anyone tell me what
they consider to be the best field guide to NZ birds? Also, can anyone
recommend
a guide, a birding tour operation or any particular destination around
Christchurch?
I probably will have a day or so for birding in that vicinity.
And can anyone recommend a guide, a birding tour operation and their
favorite
destinations around Dunedin? I'd love to see penguins, and otherwise,
any NZ
bird is a new bird to me, and the more the merrier.

Last request: any similar recommendations for the Brisbane area?
