If any of you know who would be interested in banded snow goose
sightings, please pass along the J93 Big Ditch sighting to them. I saw it today, 3
February 2006, around noon, in a field at the Big Ditch entrance drive (which
is as deeply rutted with potholes as I have ever seen it).

Plenty of bald eagles there also, and Peregrine falcons, a rough-legged
hawk, northern harriers, red-tailed hawks, and snowy owls. The big smile
came from hearing meadowlarks singing there. Spring fever. Time for another
road trip.
