Subject: [Tweeters] C mergansers & B goldeneyes at Ballard Locks

For at least the last few days, common mergansers have been common at
Ballard locks, especially across the dam from the locks and a few hundred
yards downstream from the fish ladders. They are usually feeding in the
shallows there. Lots of Barrow's goldeneyes are around as well as usual
kingfishers, double-crested cormorants feeding below the dam. And, a
sharp-shinned hawk tends to hang out in the trees and shrubbery just west of
the fish ladder.
