Barb and I went to Spencer Island at noon on a sunny warm Sunday. The first thing we noticed was that the house/barn near the entrance bridge had fallen down. Since a passerby told us it still was standing two weeks ago it probably blew down in the recent windstorm. There was extensive flooding and indeed the County had cut a channel in the main dike to equalize the high water level. As to birds few were seen. They included several harriers, a red tailed hawk, several mallards, great blue herons and gulls of unknown variety.
