it was great to see you this past week during my
lightning trip to gorgeous Seattle.

I wrote a story this morning that I would like to
share with all of you, especially since an (unnamed)
magazine editor just wrote to say that it is "good
enough to publish" (in the print media). This is the
story about Bruce Beehler's fabulous rediscovery of
Berlepsch's Six-wired Bird of Paradise, Parotia
berlepschi, as well as the discovery of many new
species of frogs, plants, mammals, and even a new
bird, during his recent visit to northwestern New
Guinea.

Thanks to my ability to root out information and
photos, and my passion for this part of the world,
