No, Blue Goose is not derived from a single gene loci, or if so, it is highly
variable in expression. The BNA account lists 7 gradations from "pure" Snow
to "pure" Blue. And I guess one could argue that random mutations could create
a Blue Goose (or actually several) on Wrangel. Seems much more likely that the
birds made their way there on their own.
