Subject: [Tweeters] Rento Slaty-backed Gull/roosting birds

Now that is a first class description--most of it way beyond me, but
first class.
So do gulls roost in rafts then on water, as crows do in trees? Where
do gulls roost if the water is too choppy? I've often wondered, as
here on Lk. Samm. I've seen gulls flying purposefully in the same
general direction at the end of the day.
Where would I find more about where and how birds roost--all birds?
thanks
