Greetings

Blue Ross's Goose remains an enigma. Some argue that this morph is a recent
phenomenon, others argue they've been overlooked, and yet others have suggested
that Blue Ross's Geese are the result of some hanky-panky between Blue Snow
Geese and Ross's Geese (followed by enough back crossing with Ross's Goose that
they are structurally identical to Ross's). With Blue Goose, Snow Goose, and
Ross's Goose populations exploding, it is certainly possible that we are
seeing the results of hybridization or that Blue Ross's Geese have not increased as
a percentage of Ross's Geese, but there are many more Ross's Geese around, so
the total number of Blue Ross's have increased in proportion. There are
specimens from as far back as the 1930s, I believe.
