Tweeters,
A golden day weather-wise produced a golden day bird wise in the area south of Vancouver. Birds of note during the day were 12 Snowy Owls, 1 Short-eared Owl and a Northern Shrike seen south of 72nd along the dike at Boundary Bay. A Bewick's Swan in a large group of Trumpeter and Tundra Swans found along 68th, just east of the junction of 60th and 68th. At Reifel, a Golden Eagle, 2 juvenile and 1 adult Black-crowned Night-Herons, and 2 White-fronted Geese. Missed at Reifel was a Saw-whet Owl that had been reported earlier in the day.
All in all a great get away with minimum time (12 minutes going into Canada, and 10 minutes entering the US) spent at the border crossings.
